Joseph M. Morris

Joseph M. Morris, 87, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Born in New York, NY to his late parents, Joseph and Helen Morris, he was a United States Army Veteran. Joseph had a passion for music and convinced his parents to buy him an accordion at the age of 12. He became an accomplished musician on the accordion as well as the keyboards and became a band leader throughout most of his life. Joseph also retired from AT&T in Basking Ridge, NJ. He formerly resided in Manahawkin, NJ and has been a resident of Barnegat for over 20 years.

Pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Raphaelle, he is survived by his two loving children and their spouses, Peter and Elsie Morris, Joseph and Kathleen Morris; three cherished grandchildren, Jack Morris, Brian Wageman (Kellie), Jason Wageman (Jen); two cherished great grandchildren, Lucas and Liliana Wageman; his brother, Robert Morris and his wife, Adele; his brother-in-law, Louis and his wife, Anne Riccio.

Visitation will be private. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 AM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at St. Mary’s Church, 747 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin, NJ. Barnegat Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
