John Walter McGrath, beloved husband, Father and #1 Pop Pop, passed away in blessed peacefulness on November 20, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with multiple illnesses. Born in Demarest, NJ before moving to Long Beach Island and ultimately Barnegat. John was a graduate of St Peters College in Jersey City.  He met his wife to be as her patient while in Holy Name Hospital.  John was a public accountant, a restaurant owner, and a Real Estate Agent through the course of his life.

John is predeceased by his wife, Carol, his parents, Thomas & Helen McGrath, and his sister Mary Ann. He is survived by his son John and his children Liam, Jack and Theo, his son Michael and his wife Shannon, and their children Megan, Mathew, Tommy,  and Karaugh,  his daughter Kelly and her husband Jeff, and their children Brendan and Kyle, as well as his sister Eileen.
