John L. Lyszczarz

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John L. Lyszczarz, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on March 14, 2025, due to injuries from an automobile accident at the age of 82. Born on June 3, 1942, in Elizabeth, NJ, John was a man of great integrity, kindness, and warmth with a superb sense of humor and love of life.

John began his career as a printer in the U.S. Navy where he was promoted quickly during his four-year enlistment followed by a successful management career in the printing industry. He was a gifted leader and innovator who earned multiple U.S. patents for his advancements in the field. His lifelong passions were his family, fishing, and spending time on the water.

As a father, John was a guiding light for his children, instilling in them the values of hard work, compassion, and resilience. He is survived by Patricia, his beloved wife of 58 years, sons John, Robert, Brian, and grandchildren Jack, Lauren, Jesse, Justin, Annabella, Mia, Megan, Ryan, Reina, Luke, Logan, and Rosie, who will carry on his legacy of love and strength.

John's life was filled with cherished moments, from family gatherings to exciting fishing outings with friends and family. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel special with his laughter and stories.  These will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 18 at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ during the hours of 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Parish Church in Barnegat, NJ, on Wednesday, March 19 at 10:00 am. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
