John Lisi

John Lisi, 78, of Barnegat, passed away on July 29, 2025. John was a man who lived with heart, humor, remarkable strength, and a deep love for the simple joys in life. A lifelong mechanic, he could fix just about anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether he was fishing on a quiet morning or playing slots in Atlantic City, he always brought a sense of fun wherever he went. He was the life of the party - quick with a joke, a story, or a laugh, and he never missed a chance to grab a guitar and sing with his brother and family. His larger-than-life personality, generous spirit, and love for his family and good company will never be forgotten.

Even in his final days, John remained a fighter, facing his battle with courage and grace, and he never gave up.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rita; his beloved children, Bernardo (Allyce) and Gabriella (Wade); his cherished grandchildren, James (Valentina) and Nicholas; his devoted brother, Carlo (Carmela); his brothers-in-law, Lucio (Carmela) and Vincenzo (Gina); and many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind memories full of laughter, music, and love that will live on in all who knew him.

Memorial Gathering will be held at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat, NJ on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM followed by a Memorial Mass at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place afterward at Ocean County Memorial Park in Waretown, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
