John J. Kilhaney

John J. Kilhaney, 93, of Manahawkin, NJ passed on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin, NJ.  Born in Paterson, NJ to his late parents, Patrick and Katharina Kilhaney, he was one of six children. John served in the US Marine Corps from 1945 to 1949 and retired from Suburban Chemical in Paterson before moving to Manahawkin.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 67 years, Nancy Kilhaney in 2019; two brothers, Patrick and Martin Kilhaney; three sisters, Catherine Fairclough, Elizabeth Doviak and Anna Lazar. He is survived by five loving children and their spouses, Karen and William Climenson, Eileen and Michael Updyke, Diane Leone, Nancy and Michael Zack, Kenneth and Jean Kilhaney; nine cherished grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

A Memorial Gathering followed by Military Honors will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 2 to 5 PM at the Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
