Obituary

John J. Coyle, 87, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Monday, August 28, 2023. Edward Sheehy.  Born in Jersey City, NJ to his late parents, James and Anna Coyle, he was a United States Army Veteran. He resided in Jersey City most of his life, where he was active in his community and involved in many youth programs. John was also a communicant of St. Ann’s Church where he performed in the family theater. John moved to Barnegat 20 years ago.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Patricia; loving daughter, Colleen O’Donovan and her husband, Michael; three cherished grandchildren, Faith, Shannon and Liam; devoted brother, Edward Sheehy. He is predeceased by his brother, James Coyle and sister, Margaret Parisi. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 5-8 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM on Friday, at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Interment to follow in Bg. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Vet. Mem. Cem., Arneytown, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
