John Bellack Obituary

In Loving Memory of John “Bruce” Bellack

John “Bruce” Bellack, (August 4th, 1950 – December 11th, 2025), passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, under the loving care of his devoted wife Grace.

It was in Bayonne, where he met and married the love of his life Grace Terracciano. Together they raised their two amazing children – Blaine and Melanie, and cherished wonderful times as their family grew to include their beautiful and talented granddaughters – Kelsey, Maci, and Gia. Upon retirement, Bruce and Grace moved to their home in Manahawkin, NJ near their favorite vacation spot of LBI. There they hosted many barbeques and pool parties for their family and friends. Bruce loved relaxing by the pool listening to music and enjoying cocktails.

Bruce was involved in many social activities, as a child he enjoyed playing Little League Baseball, PAL Basketball, leading him up to joining many leagues including Bayonne tavern softball, APA and BCA pool teams, dart teams, shuffle board, and bocce ball, he also enjoyed watching and attending boxing events, along, with playing the lottery, listening to all genres of music, crabbing, fishing, and boating. 

He was a member of the Beach Haven Moose Lodge # 1575, where he enjoyed socializing and meeting new friends.

He enjoyed the simple things in life and was a hardworking man full of love, hope, and dedication to his family. He also was the life of every party and enjoyed pressing his luck at the slots in Atlantic City with Grace by his side, his very own lady luck.

Bruce became a certified skilled scuba diver where he trained alongside the US Navy Seals at the US Naval School Underwater Swimmers in Key West, FL. He was deployed on the USNS Mission Capistrano. Upon his return home, Bruce worked for Western Electric and finished his career as an Assistant Superintendent for the City of Bayonne – MUA until his retirement.

Bruce is survived by his wife Grace (nee Terracciano), his children Blaine (Suzanne Gormeley) and Melanie Hanlon (James “Terry”) his granddaughters Kelsey Grace Bellack, Maci Paige Westenberger, GiaBella Donna Bellack, his sister Barbara Macheda, sister-in-law Victoria DuCap and extended family including his nephews, nieces, and step-grandchildren.  Predeceased by his parents John E. Bellack and Josephine (nee Stobierski)

Bruce will forever live on in all the hearts of the lives he touched. 

A Memorial Mass will be offered 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at St. Mary Of The Pines Church, Manahawkin. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
