Joan E. Picarello

Joan E. Picarello, 79, of Barnegat, NJ, passed on Thursday, August 4, 2022 peacefully at home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Staten Island for 37 years, where she was active in the Democratic Party.

 A loving mother and grandmother; Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Robert; two loving children, Roberta Picarello and Jodi Picarello-Frunzi, and her husband, John Frunzi; four cherished grandchildren, Alexis (Brandon), Matthew, Robert and Michael; sister, Lorraine Meringolo; brother-in-law, Anthony Picarello, and wife, Maria; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, with a Blessing to begin at 8:00 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ. Private Cremation to follow. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
