Jo Ann Hathazi, 74, of Barnegat, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Known for her quick wit, and vibrant personality, Jo Ann lived an extraordinary life. Playful at heart and quick with a joke, she always brought laughter and smiles to family and friends. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she brought warmth and joy to everyone she met.
Born in Allentown, NJ, Jo Ann lived in New Egypt and East Windsor before moving to Barnegat. She was a successful business owner and entrepreneur. Self-employed for many years, Jo Ann helped build and run a family company with determination and creativity. Later in life, she remained active in the local business community until her retirement.
Jo Ann was predeceased by her late husband, Thor Woronczuk, and her parents, Ernest and Catherine Palsho. She is survived by Michael Hathazi, the father of her children; her loving children, Susan “Dodi” Mahnovski, and husband, Sergej, Michael Hathazi, and wife, Lauren; her step-children, Julia Schneider, and husband David, and Anton Woronczuk; her adored grandchildren, Genevieve, Isla (children of Michael and Lauren), Adrian, and Sebastian (children of Susan and Sergej); her brothers and sisters, Sandra Davall and husband, Barry, Susan Hipple, and Chuck Palsho and wife Allison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at Princeton Memorial Park in Robbinsville (403 Gordon Rd., Robbinsville, NJ 08691) on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 12:00pm to honor her remarkable life.
Her spirit, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
