Jennie Giannantonio

Jennie Giannantonio, 94, of Forked River passed Tuesday, December 31, 2019. Born in Fort Lee, NJ to her late parents, Carmilo “Charles” and Theresa (Tagliarini) Platania, she formerly resided in North Bergen, NJ. Jennie had worked as a Real Estate Agent for Weichert Realty in Fort Lee. She moved to Forked River, NJ 8 years ago where she was a communicant of St. Pius X Church. She is remembered as a woman of timeless elegance, always charming and fashionable, she possessed a great sense of humor and a kindness towards others.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank Giannantonio, and her two loving children, John and Victoria, she is survived by her four cherished grandchildren, Suzie and husband Dan Block, Jennifer Pace, Jamie Deluise and Denise Pugh; local great grandchildren, Nicholas and Jessica Block; her brother, Victor and wife Agnes Platania; her sister, Gloria Prisco. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Vincent Platania, Francis Platania and Frances Barilla.

Funeral Mass will be offered 9:30 AM Thursday, January 2, 2020 at St. Pius X Church, 300 Lacey Rd., Forked River, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin, NJ. Barnegat Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
