James “Jimi” Allen Jameson, 57, of Bloomingdale, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones after courageously battling stage IV esophageal cancer.
Born in Pompton Plains, NJ, on November 25, 1967, Jimi spent most of his life in Lincoln Park before settling in Bloomingdale. He made his living on the open road as a proud truck driver and owner-operator for Horseless Carriage, taking great pride in every mile he drove. His dedication and work ethic were unmatched; though, it was his laughter, quick wit, and larger-than-life personality that made him unforgettable.
To know Jimi was to laugh with him. His humor filled every room, and his heart was just as big. He lived a full life, one fueled by family, hard work, and good stories told over music and laughter.
Jimi is survived by his loving mother, Linda Jameson, and her husband, Robert Garelick; his brother, Mark Jameson, and wife Izabela; his children, Casey, Carly and her husband Dale, and Christopher Jameson; and his grandchildren, Colton Christopher and Amelia Rose. He also leaves behind his loyal fur-babygirl, Roxanne, along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him. He was preceded in death by his father, James David Jameson.
Jimi will be remembered for his hard work, humor, and unwavering love. His unmistakable laugh—a sound everyone who loved him could recognize instantly—will echo forever in the memories of those he leaves behind. His legacy and spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Ocean County Memorial Park, Waretown, NJ.
