James Hammer, Sr. Obituary

James Micheal Hammer Sr. passed away on March 9,2019. Born in Elizabeth, NJ to his late parents, Joseph and Mary Hammer.

Survived by his beloved wife, Jean Marie Hammer. Loving father to seven children, Jennifer Marie , Samantha Joy, James Micheal, Robbie, Priscilla Marie , Angelina , and Madison; Adoring grandfather to two granddaughters , Juliette and Adriana ; Further survived by his 10 siblings , Joseph, Mildred, Mary, Edmund, Nellie, Wendy, Larry, Mary Joe, Kristina and Linda as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

James will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his contagious personality, big heart and one of a kind smile. Dedicated Corrections Officer and C.E.R.T. Team member of the Pennsylvania DOC. Most of all a proud 21 year Marine, US Air Force and Army veteran.

Viewing Friday March 15, 2019 from 10am-12pm followed by a blessing service at 12pm. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C.Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations to the wounded warriors project in James’ memory is greatly appreciated.
