James Capozzi Obituary

James V. Capozzi, 84, of Point Pleasant, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2021. Jim was born and raised in Jersey City where he met his wife, Jacquelyn. They were married in 1959. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School. Jim proudly served his country as a US Marine. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Better known as Papa. He worked in the family business as a butcher beginning at a young age. He continued his career as a meat department manager for Pathmark; retiring in 2004. He enjoyed traveling with his family and friends.

He was predeceased and will be reunited with his wife, Jackie; daughter, Gayle and his parents, James and Florence. Jim will be greatly missed by his two sons and their spouses, James and Kathleen of Manahawkin and Michael and Joanne of Parkertown; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jimmy, Nicholas, Angelina, Dana, Michelle and her husband Jordan and great grandchildren, Jordan and Paige. Jim is also survived by his brother, Richard, and his wife, Fran of Lakewood; sister in-law, Lois Vivian and her husband, William of Little Egg Harbor and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 3rd at 11 am at The Church of St. Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Rd. Point Pleasant. Burial will follow at Brigadier General William C Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
