Jack Puglisi, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in Manahawkin, NJ, where he had lived for the past 30 years. He was previously a longtime resident of North Arlington, NJ.
Jack was born on September 5, 1935, in North Bergen, NJ, to parents Sebastian Puglisi and Frances Millicent.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Ann Puglisi (née Garson). They were married on June 30, 1963, and shared a lifetime of love and memories together. Jack was the proud father of three children, whom he adored: daughter Linda Geary, daughter Jacqueline Butler, and son John Puglisi. He was also a cherished father-in-law to Michael Geary, Mark Butler, and Danelle Davenport.
Jack deeply loved his grandchildren: Thomas Geary, Tracey Geary, Stephanie Butler (and her husband Brandon Butler), and Kerry Gares (and her husband Jerry Gares). He was a proud great-grandfather to Makenna Rose Gares, lovingly calling her “his little girl.”
Jack found his greatest joy spending time with his family, whether it was over a delicious dinner, relaxing on the beach, floating in the ocean, or cheering on his favorite sports teams — the Yankees, Giants, and Knicks. He was a dedicated and avid sports fan, and his loving ways and kind heart will be remembered always.
He will be deeply missed by so many, and the stories and memories of him will live on in our hearts forever.
