Irene J. Haberstick

Irene J. Haberstick, 81, of Barnegat, NJ passed away surrounded by her family on September 30, 2024. Born March 12, 1943, Irene lived a full life filled with accomplishments, laughter, and most importantly love. Irene was lucky enough to find true love at a young age, and married Elmer (Sonny) Haberstick. Together, they raised six children and celebrated 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Irene’s best memories come from a career as the head of the payroll department for 34 years at Six Flags Great Adventure. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Parish in Barnegat.

She is predeceased by her husband Sonny Haberstick, brother Frank Elia, sisters Claudetter Morrissey and Diane Norris. Irene was comforted at home by her daughter Victoria Fernandez and her husband Walter Fernandez, her son Fred Haberstick, and her grandchildren Elizabeth McKnight, Joseph Fernandez, Brandon Fernandez, Julie Haberstick, and Kevin Haberstick.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM  at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Mass offered Friday, 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Private Cremation to follow. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
