Henry “Peter" Venturella, 74, of Barnegat (previously the Bronx & Clifton) passed on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Weissenstadt, Germany, to Nick and Herta Rose Venturella. Pete is a U.S. Army Veteran who served in active duty during the Vietnam War. Pete retired from the Triboro Bridge and Tunnel Authority, where he worked for almost 30 years. He was a lifelong Yankee fan, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and old friends.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 42 years, Marianne (nee Cusimano) Venturella, his loving daughter, Gina Venturella-Maguire and her husband, Tom, his daughter in law, Nora Molloy-Daly. Pete has five cherished grandchildren: Tommy Maguire, James Daly, Kerstin Maguire, Joseph Daly, and Maria Daly; devoted brother Paul Venturella and wife Louise, sister Rita Smith, and four nieces and nephews. Pete was sadly predeceased by his parents, and his son, Bryon Daly.
Visitation will be Friday, September 24, 2021 from 3 to 7pm at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Mass will be offered Saturday 9:30am at St. Mary’s Church, 747 West Bay Ave., Barnegat. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
