Gerard "Jerry" J. DuBeau, 81, of the Beach Haven West section of Manahawkin, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 12, 2020. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ to his late parents, Gerard H. DuBeau and Claire DuBeau (Gabel) and grew up in Linden, NJ before moving to Garwood, NJ to start a family. He was a resident of Manahawkin for 34 years.
"Jerry," belonged to the UA Local 24 Plumbers of West Caldwell, NJ for 60 years, was a member of the Rahway Elks and the Knights of Columbus in Linden, NJ. He was an outdoor enthusiast who loved to fish, boat and hunt. Much like the motor in his boat, he never stopped running. He enjoyed seasonal travel to the Florida Keys with his wife, JoAnn. He was a die hard New York Giants fan and rooted for the Pinstripes! Go Yankees! Always active, energetic and engaging; Jerry was a true "social butterfly," he knew everyone and everyone knew him. He will always be "Hon", "Dad", and "Grandpa."
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years JoAnn A. DuBeau (Grube); daughter Denise M. Curtin (husband Greg); son, Gerard "Jerry" J. DuBeau; 3 grandchildren, Shaun M. Curtin (wife Shannon), Bryan J. Curtin, and Colleen J. Curtin; great grandson, Logan R. Curtin; as well as a host of many long-time friends and family.
