Geraldine Rachinsky

Geraldine Rachinsky, 65, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Saturday, December 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jersey City and raised in Farmingdale, NJ.

Creative and endlessly thoughtful, Gerri had a gift for turning ordinary moments into special memories and lived to instill happiness and wonder in the hearts of her grandchildren. She proudly served the Barnegat School District for 20 years, where she continued to inspire and touch the lives of those she had the opportunity to mentor.

In the warmer seasons, Gerri spent countless hours gardening in her yard, creating an unforgettable space where family was always invited and eager to gather. She enjoyed bird watching, spending holidays with friends and family, and hosting Sunday dinners filled with laughter, effortlessly creating memories that will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her forever soulmate and best friend, Walter;  her beloved children: Tim and wife Courtney, Shannon and husband Tom, and Eric; and  her most adored grandchildren: Thomas, Brody, Nola, and Rowan. 

She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever present in the hearts of those who knew her.

Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, January 3, 2026  at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 4700 Brant Beach,  NJ 08008.
