Gerald N. Jacovelli

Gerald N. Jacovelli, 85, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Saturday, March 14, 2026 peacefully at home. Born in Paterson, NJ to his late parents, Florence Scandale and Gerard Jacovelli, he attended Central High School and worked at Arrow Carrier and ABF Trucking. He was a member of local 560 for 37 years. Gerald loved living down the shore after retirement, loved fishing and golf, always fun to be around, a loyal friend, always willing to help.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, wife: Mary Jacovelli; loving son, Daniel J. Jacovelli (Wendy), loving daughter, Donna M Anderson (David); seven cherished grandchildren, Catherine Anderson (Michael), Amy Sutherland (Justin), Alexa Anderson, Travis Anderson (Kendra), Daniel Jacovelli, Mitchell Jacovelli, and Miranda Jacovelli; eight adored great-grandchildren, Jett Sutherland, Rio Sutherland, Tex Sutherland, Crosby Sutherland, Teagan Anderson, Katin Anderson, Lainey Anderson, and Oakley Anderson; siblings, Domenic Jacovelli (Cathy), Fred Scandale (Elaine), April Rogers, and Eugene Jacovelli. 

He was loved dearly by his cousins and friends, new and old, and especially by the children. 

A Funeral Mas will be offered 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat, NJ. Private Cremation to follow.
