Gerald S. Gavin

Gerald S. Gavin, 78, of Barnegat, NJ passed on August 18, 2020 at Southern Ocean Center of Manahawkin, NJ. Born in Hoboken, NJ, he formerly resided in Lodi, NJ before moving to Barnegat in 2003. A Veteran of the Vietnam War, Gerald served in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1981 and retired as a 1st Sergeant.  He was then employed by the Social Security Administration. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Lorraine; brother-in-law, Charles Thomas, and his wife, Jeanette; Aunt Jodi Galgano; nephews, Martin Gavin, Anthony Gavin, Sr., as well as great-nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Martin Gavin and his wife, Millie; two nephews, Ronald Gavin and Perry Gavin.

Viewing will be Friday, August 21, 2020 from 2-6 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Mass offered Saturday 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Barnegat.  Private Cremation to follow. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
