George P. Soehngen, 77, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Monday, June 9, 2025. Born in Jersey City, NJ to his late parents, George and Faith Soehngen, he is survived by his siblings, Judy Grenz, Sharon and Ed McCann, Ed and Carol Soehngen, Donald and Maryann Soehngen, Martin and Joann Soehngen, Mary Beth Soehngen; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his sister, Faith Taylor; brothers-in-law, William Grenz and Eamon Taylor.
George was funny, wicked smart, joyful, brave, kind, generous, energetic; a gentleman that was interested in every human he met, making everyone feel like they mattered.
He loved good food, fine dining, music, dancing and the company of good friends.
Rest in playfulness, George. We were lucky to have you.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Mass offered Monday, 12:30 PM at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat, NJ. Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
