Francis E. Flynn

Francis E. Flynn, Jr. (Frank), age 87, of Barnegat, NJ passed away on September 14, 2022. Born in Hoboken, NJ to his late parents Francis and Grace (McDevitt) Flynn, he was formerly of Bayonne, NJ. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Elaine (nee Domalewski), his daughter Alicia Flynn Cotter and her husband Richard, his son Christopher Flynn and his wife Lori, and his grandchildren Kristen Cotter, Sean Flynn and Elizabeth Cotter.

After serving in the US Army for two years, Frank worked in the armored car industry for Wells Fargo and Brinks, Inc., and retired from Chase Manhattan Bank.  He was a Fourth Degree member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #371 in Bayonne, and a proud recipient of the of the NJ State Knight of the Year Award in 2002.  Frank was a former Trustee and Eucharistic Minister of St. Mary, Star of the Sea Parish in Bayonne.

He was predeceased by his brother, William Donald (Don) Flynn.

Viewing will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 4-8 pm at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, Barnegat.  Interment with Military Honors to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin.  (www.BarnegatFH.com)
