Fe Uriarte Obituary

Fe G. Uriarte, 84, a loving and devoted Catholic wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on October 2, 2024, in Manahawkin, New Jersey. Born in Tacloban City, Philippines, in 1940 to her late parents, Elisa Avelino Enerlan and Catalino Pedrosa Galindo, Sr., she enjoyed much of her childhood in Tacloban City with her siblings Fidelino, Sol, and Catalino, Jr.

Encouraged by her loving mother and father, she initially pursued a career in Dentistry, then Medicine, but eventually earned a degree in Medical Technology from Centro Escolar University in Manila. Earning her degree in Medical Technology allowed her to emigrate to the US quickly, which motivated her. Upon entering the US, she initially started her training in Massachusetts and later became licensed to work at Stamford Hospital in Connecticut, where in 1967 she met her future husband, Vicente M. Uriarte Jr. MD.

Their journey together took them through Cornwall, New York, and Long Island before they settled in New Milford, New Jersey, to nurture their growing family. After working for Bronx Lebanon Hospital for most of her professional career, Fe retired, and in 2000, she and her husband relocated to Manahawkin, New Jersey, where she spent the rest of her days.

Fe loved traveling when she had the time and resources, especially throughout Europe on religious pilgrimages such as the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Fatima, Portugal, and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes in Lourdes, France. Above all, Fe cherished her family. She found happiness with her husband Vicente, her sister Sol Galindo, and her children Leslie, Robert, and Karl. Her grandchildren Emma, Ethan, Oliver, and Henry made her heart full of pride.
