Esperanca M. Varela

Esperanca M. Varela, 60, of Barnegat, NJ, passed on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. She was born in Parchal, Portugal. Esperanca was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who was looked upon as the Matriarch of her family.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Jose; four loving sons, Stephen, and his wife, Alex Varela, Christopher Varela, Austin Varela and Ethan Varela; cherished granddaughter, Amalia; devoted parents Luis and Lurdes Encarnacao; three sisters, Isabel Fonseca, Emerita Massa and Maria Encarnacao; brother Rui Encarnacao; many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 5-8 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ. Mass offered Friday, 10 AM at St. Mary’s, Barnegat. (www.Barnegatfh.com)
