Erin Rua Obituary

Erin Rua (nee Gifford), 35, passed away on May 13 at her home in Barnegat, NJ. Erin was a graduate of Southern Regional High School and Georgian Court University. She was a kind and wonderful person, and a devout Catholic. As a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish on LBI, Erin became one of the youngest Eucharistic ministers in Ocean County at the age of 15. She was also a devoted CCD teacher at St. Francis for several years. Erin was a wonderful daughter, caring granddaughter, and loving wife. She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Christopher; her brother Sean Gifford; her sister Jennifer Gifford; her parents Penny Pushko (nee McGeehan) and John Gifford; her step-father John Pushko; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Erin will be interred at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Manahawkin, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made on Erin’s behalf to the GBS/CIDP Foundation International or online at https://www.gbs-cidp.org/. (www.Barnegatfh.com)
