Eileen M. Schiavone, 91, of Barnegat passed Saturday, April 5, 2025 surrounded by her loving daughters. Born in Passaic, NJ to her late parents, Frank and Anna Meninger, she is a graduate of Clifton High School. She and her husband owned Schiavone's Delicatessen in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ where she resided, along with her late husband of 56 years. Once they retired they moved to Barnegat 26 years ago. She also resided in Wood-ridge, NJ and was an active member of the Carlstadt Turnverein Social Club.
Eileen enjoyed being part of the Mirage community where she lived and was skilled in many crafts, from ceramics to crocheting. An avid reader and book club member, she volunteered her time and was a past officer with the Friends of The Barnegat Library. She and her husband loved to travel, but above all else, she enjoyed time spent with her family.
Eileen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ralph A. Schiavone and her cherished grandson, Robert A. Handy. Surviving are her three loving daughters and their husbands, Gail and Vincent Handy, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, Donna and Richard Falkowski, Bear, DE, Patricia and David Johnson, Ravenna, OH; five cherished grandchildren, Steven Handy and wife Allison Berwald, Krista and husband Joseph Begley, Michael and wife Ashley Falkowski, Nicole Falkowski, David and wife Vanessa Johnson; six cherished great grandchildren, Cason, McKinley, Addison, Jack, Emerson and Ryan.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 9-10:30 AM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Interment will follow in Bg. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Vet. Mem. Cem., Arneytown. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
