Edy Gerena Obituary

Edy Gerena, 80, of New York, NY, formerly of Jackson, NJ, passed on Monday, May 10, 2021 peacefully at home. Born in Mayaguez, PR to her late parents, German and Felicidad Bonilla, she is predeceased by her beloved husband, Efrian. Surviving are her loving children, Michael Gerena, and his wife, Holly, Jose Santana and Carolyne Ortiz, and husband, Nicolas Rivera; twelve cherished grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Milagros Bonilla; niece, Yvette Flynn and nephew, Ruben Castro.

Edy was An amazing woman; funny, loving, caring and honest. She is remembered by her jokes, laughter and love and for always putting a smile on other’s faces.
