Edwin "Teddy" P. Zipf

Ted passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Born on November 20, 1932 in Newark, NJ, he was raised in South Orange and attended both Clifford Scott High School and Panzel College.

He served in the US Navy during the Korean War on several battleships from 1954 to 1956. Ted worked for many years as an Electrical Lineman for Public Service. He then moved to the Brielle and Freehold areas working as a Lineman for Seaside Heights. He retired to Barnegat with his wife in 2004.

Ted also enjoyed working weekends at Leggetts Sandbar for many years as a bartender in Manasquan.

Besides his love of people and a good laugh, nothing made him happier than being on the ocean fishing, followed by a good round of golf.

Ted is survived by his wife, Linda of 30 years; his son, Sean; eight grandchildren; along with his beloved dog, Annie. 

Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 1 to 4 PM with a Blessing and Military Honors to begin at 4:00 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ 08005.  (www.BarnegatFH.com)
