Edward Soboleski, 87, formerly of Barnegat, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Gino Merli Veterans Center, Scranton, PA.
The son of the late Anthony Soboleski and Helen Reback Soboleski, he was born on March 24, 1938, in Plains Twp., PA and raised in Swoyersville, PA, where he was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School.
A veteran of the United States Marine Corps and Air Force, he served his country for 9 years, and, prior to his retirement, was employed for 50 years as a laborer with the International Heavy Construction Laborers Union.
Edward was a member of Saint Mary’s Parish in Barnegat; the Knights of Columbus Council 3826; and the Lacey Elks Lodge 2518.
The last member of his immediate family, in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, the former Lena Mae Ball; his brother, Robert Soboleski; and his sisters, Elizabeth Mackey and Geraldine Pollock.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary’s Parish, 747 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, followed by burial of his cremated remains in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Stafford Township, where Military Honors will be accorded.
