Edward R. Mann

Edward R. Mann, 86, of Barnegat, NJ, passed away on September 9th 2024.  He died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. 

Edward was born on January 24th 1938 to Thomas and Helen Mann in Jersey City, NJ.  After graduating from Nutley High School he joined the US Army reserves.   He worked for Hoffman La Roche for 35 years and started a HVAC business which is still owned by his son Ed today.

Ed loved spending summers on Sebago Lake in Maine where he built his summer house.  His children and grandchildren still vacation there today and enjoy many great memories. 

After retiring, Ed and Kathie moved to Heritage Point in Barnegat where Ed became an original member of the Facilities Committee. He enjoyed his community and friends, from the wine club, to cruising and events at the clubhouse. 

Edward is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Helen Mann and his brothers Tom and Dave and his sister Marilyn. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathleen; three loving children, Sharon and her husband, Shaun Ahern, Edward and his wife, Lori Mann, Linda and her husband, Timothy Burklow; as well as 8 grandchildren: Edward Jr. (Melissa), Timothy Jr. (Sara), Lauren, Katelyn, Shaun Jr., Jason, Robbie and Stephanie. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 4 to 7 pm at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat NJ 08005.   Private cremation to follow.  (www.BarnegatFH.com)
