Doris A. Cabansag

Doris A. Cabansag of Barnegat, NJ passed away peacefully on August 4, 2024, under the Hospice care of Hackensack Meridian’s Southern Ocean Medical Center after a short illness.

She was born in Newark, NJ to her late parents, Helen and John Moriarty Sr. She married the love of her life Robert (Bob) Cabansag in 1959. They lived for a time in Newark NJ, moving to Perth Amboy in 1962 where they were blessed to adopt two children. They moved to East Brunswick NJ in 1974 and remained there until their move in 2004 to Barnegat, NJ.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert D. Cabansag as well as her sisters Rosemary Romeo and Helen Wagner. Doris leaves behind her loving daughter Dawn A. Lagowski (Thomas); son Robert (Robb) J. Cabansag (Lorena); 3 grandchildren Mark Lagowski, Matthew Cabansag and Sarah Cabansag; two brothers John Moriarty Jr. and James Moriarty. She also had many loving nieces and nephews.

Doris remained active in her community at Heritage Point playing Mahjong and Canasta with her many friends and she was her happiest on her frequent trips to Atlantic City.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM with a Blessing to follow at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ 08005. Cremation is private. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
