Dolores A. Ziegler

Dolores A. Ziegler, 90, of Berkley Twsp., NJ passed on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Born in Kearny, NJ, she was one of six and the last surviving child born to her late parents, Howard W. and Ida Shepherd. 

Dolores was a hardworking and well-loved woman who lived for her family.

She had a passion for the arts, and enjoyed painting, drawing, and engaging in a myriad of arts and crafts. She also loved photography and music. Above all, she enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Douglas D. Ziegler, Sr., she is survived by her three loving children, Douglas D. Ziegler, Jr. and his wife, Patricia, Janice L. Sloane and her husband, Peter and Sharon A. Ciccone and her husband, Vincent; six cherished grandchildren, Douglas, III (Madonna), Mark (Cynthia), Kristin (Jimmy), Staci (James), Brittany (Adrian), Jaclyn (Brittany); six cherished great-grandchildren, Heather (Matt), Kelly, Sean, Kinsley, Sebastian, Bryson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 1 to 5 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Funeral Service offered Monday, 10:00 AM at Waretown United Methodist Church,  Waretown. Interment to follow in Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
