Dolores Scarfi

Dolores Scarfi died peacefully in her sleep on January 5, 2025, at the age of 95.  Dolores was born in Perth Amboy on September 20, 1929 ; she lived a vibrant life surrounded by family, friends, and her faith.  As a child Dolores was strong willed and stood up to anyone who crossed her. Then as an adult she enjoyed parties, glamour and good times.  During this time she had three boys: Arthur, Mark, and David.  No matter what Dolores was doing she was the center of attention and shared her opinions.  While life held many good and trying times, she found the Lord and her life would never be the same.  Bible studies and church were a foundation of her life, but Dolores also enjoyed fashion,  game shows, word puzzles, and evangelizing with friends.  She met her husband, Mario Scarfi and started a new chapter in her life.  New Jersey weather and the Lord pushed Dolores to settle with Mario in Florida. There she also became a dog mom to Shi Shi who she adored.  Not known to spoil many, this dog stole her heart and reaped the benefits. Later she returned to New Jersey and lived with her sister Gloria before settling in Barnegat.

Dolores is predeceased by her parents Archie and Marion Cassale; her husband Mario Scarfi; her son Mark Pajak; her brother Daniel Cassale and sister Gloria Daidone.  She is survived by her sons: Arthur (Janet) and David (Marie) Pajak, grandchildren: Jennifer, Jonathan (Cyndi), Brian (Kelly, David and Joshua (Lauren), and great-grandchildren: Kathryn, Carson and Adam, and nieces and nephews.

If anyone knew Dolores she was always on the hunt for Prince Charming.  Life is not a fairy tale, but hopefully in heaven she is united with the Lord and her Prince Charming.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM to -12:30 with a Funeral Service to begin at 12:30 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Interment to follow in Barnegat Memorial Cemetery. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
