Dennis M. De Veux Obituary

Dennis M. De Veux of Manahawkin, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026. Born on September 11, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, Dennis was the beloved son of John and Vera De Veux. Dennis fell in love with and married Marie Hinton, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love and devotion that lasted 58 years. A dedicated and hardworking man, Dennis worked as an electrician with Local 3 IBEW, where he was a proud member for 63 years. He was also deeply involved in his community, volunteering and training as an EMT with the Manahawkin EMT Ambulance Service.
Dennis found great joy in gardening, and his yard stood as a colorful reflection of his care, creativity, and pride.


He is survived by his loving wife, Marie; his daughter, Denise; and his sons, Michael, Andrew, and John. He also leaves behind his adored grandchildren, Ashley, Dylan, Kayla, Kaitlyn, and Cody; his son-in-law, Declan; and his daughters-in-law, Heather and Bonnie.


Dennis will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.


Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church, 747 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, New Jersey, with a Mass to follow at 11:00 AM


Interment will take place afterward at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, 283 Beachview Avenue, Manahawkin, New Jersey.
