David D. Kennovin

David Kennovin, 83, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at home. Born on Christmas day, 1938 in Chester, PA, he resided in Plainfield, NJ for over 45 years. David and his wife, Mary Ann also purchased a shore house in Manahawkin, NJ, where they loved to go on their boats, the “Scotch & Water” and the little “BW” and go fishing, crabbing, cruising the lagoons or just relaxing with family and friends.

David served in the Navy on the USS Cascade and worked as a glazier and glazier foreman for over 40 years, with locals 1183, 1009, and DC711, Springfield NJ. David was a loyal Nascar fan, and also loved to travel with his wife and children, all along the East Coast, the Caribbean, and also vacation and visit family in Florida. As the children got older, he also vacationed with his wife in Europe, Aruba, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Spain, Portugal as well as a 12 day Panama Canal Cruise to 7 different countries. They also made periodic stops at Ocean Resort in Atlantic City for a relaxing day trip. 

David is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Ann; loving sons, Glenn Kennovin, and his wife, Sharon and Craig Kennovin, and his wife, Janine and four cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Holly, Brady and Megan.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM -1:30 PM, with Services and Military Honors to begin at 1:30PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ. 08005 (www.BarnegatFH.com)
