Coreen "Honey" Delaney

Coreen “Honey” Delaney, 90, of Barnegat passed away at Deborah Hospital on November 7, 2019. She was born in Springfield MA, moved to Brooklyn NY, where she met the love of her life Patrick.  They moved to South River NJ, to raise their family.  They retired to Barnegat NJ where she enjoyed Bocce, the women’s garden club and walking by the water.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Patrick, of 63 years.  She was blessed with five loving children and their spouses; Kathleen and Lance Sweeney, James and Gina Delaney, Patrick and Maria Delaney, John Delaney and Fiancé Tori Ferris, Colleen and Sean Petlick.  She has 13 cherished grandchildren, Chelsea, Gabrielle, Shane, Samantha, Christian, Shannon, Brandon, Alyssa, Matthew, Corinne, Jake, Dylan, Max and 1 cherished step grandchild, Jocelyn. 

Honey was  a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as grandmother . She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh.  She was graced with making friends wherever she traveled. 

Viewing Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 4 to 7 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Mass offered Wednesday 9:15 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Barnegat. Interment in Bg. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Vet. Mem. Cemetery, Arneytown. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
