Christopher "Pat" Nooney

Christopher “Pat” Nooney, 79, of Barnegat passed on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Born in Bronx, NY to his late parents, Christopher and Mary Nooney, he is a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and recipient of the Bronze Star. He formerly resided in Park Ridge, NJ for 37 years and worked for the NYC Transit Authority. Pat earned the name of “Land Baron” from his friends up north due the fastidious way he cared for his lawn and garden. His favorite nickname came from his grandsons who affectionately called him “Mush”.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 54 years, Catherine M. Nooney; two loving daughters, Jennifer and her husband David Armstrong, Maureen Nooney; two chersished grandsons, Jake and Brennan. He was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 4 to 7 PM at the Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ 08005. Interment with Military Honors will be held on Friday 11:30 AM at the Bg. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Vet. Mem. Cem., Arneytown, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
