Charles I. Salerno

Charles I. Salerno, 87, of Barnegat, NJ, passed on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 peacefully at home. Born in New York, NY to his late parents, Giuseppe and Lena Salerno, he is a veteran of the US Army. Charles worked as a broker at the New York Stock Exchange for 35 years and formerly resided in Westfield and Edison, NJ before moving to Barnegat. He loved being by the water and enjoyed sitting at the beach every chance he could.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Emarita; five loving children and their spouses, Claudine and John Killoran, John and Catia Salerno, Elaine DeLuca, Joseph and Colleen DeLuca, Richard and Tara DeLuca; seven cherished grandchildren, Charles, Jack and William Salerno,Elyse, Gemma, Eve and Chloe DeLuca as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass followed by Military Honors will be offered 11 AM on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at St. Mary's Church, 747 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ 08005. Barnegat Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
