Carolann E. Gerbehy

Carolann Elizabeth “Carol” Gerbehy (Liguori), of Barnegat, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Southern Ocean Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on April 26, 1945, in Jersey City, NJ, Carol was the daughter of Grace and Dominick Liguori. She was known for her love of cooking, her contagious laugh, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She also loved sitting by the bay and spending time on Long Beach Island (LBI).

Carol held multiple office jobs over the years and found comfort in volunteering at the chapel at St. Mary’s Parish in Barnegat, where she was an active parishioner.

In 1963, she married the love of her life, Thomas “Pat” Gerbehy, and they shared 62 wonderful years together, raising two daughters.

Carol is survived by her husband, Pat; her daughters, Christine and Michele; her grandchildren, Lauren, Anthony, JohnMichael, Ryan, Chris, Thomas, Michael, and Nicholas; and her siblings, Robert, Janet, and Barbara. She was predeceased by her parents, Grace and Dominick.

Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 1 to 4 PM with a Blessing a 3:30 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
