Carol M. Germano

Carol M. Germano, 81, of Barnegat, NJ pased on Thursday, May 25, 2023 peacefully at home.

Carol is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Bill Germano. She is also survived by her cherished family: son, William Germano, his wife, Lorrie, and their children, Hailey and Nicholas, her daughter, Stacy Germano, her husband, Artie Gauvreau, and their daughter, Julia, her brother Dennis and his wife Julia and their family, and her sister Alicia.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Carol grew up in Brooklyn, New York before moving to East Meadow, Long Island to raise her family and spend her career in the healthcare field, retiring from the Nassau County Department of Drug and Alcohol. Carol and Bill then moved to Barnegat, New Jersey where they made many friends and spent long hours talking and laughing on their front patio.

An avid photographer, Carol was dedicated to her family and loved to document her children’s and grandchildren’s milestones and accomplishments, never missing any event, big or small. She was involved with many charities over the years and she loved animals of all kinds, especially dogs. She volunteered with the Guide Dog Foundation and raised many puppies that became valued service dogs. Carol was also a skilled seamstress and made beautiful clothing, baby blankets, and quilts. She loved to travel with her husband, especially to Italy and the Caribbean, and to spend time with her family and friends. She will be missed, never forgotten, and her legacy will live on through future generations.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM at the Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ 08005. Private cremation to follow. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
