It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carmela Simmons, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, who left this world far too soon; as she succumbed from her lengthy and hard-fight battle with brain cancer.
Carmela is survived by her devoted husband, Larry, and her cherished daughter, Carly, who was the light of her life. She is also survived by her loving mother, Annunziata Cavallaro, her sister, Rosa Cavallaro and Phil DeMarco , her brother Mario Cavallaro and Emma O’ceda.
She was predeceased by her father, Antonio Cavallaro, whose love and guidance shaped her life in countless ways.
Carmela will also be dearly missed by her extended family, including her brother-in-law Harvey Simmons and his wife Christine Rains, her sister-in-law Arleene Essex, her nieces, Lila Simmons, Annmarie Martinez and her husband Michael, Daniela Cavallaro and Pablo Quintanilla, her nephew Luke Simmons, as well as her great-nieces Apollonia Martinez and Reign Quintanilla.
Carmela will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the way she touched the lives of everyone around her. Her laughter, strength, and compassion will continue to live on through her family and friends.
Her absence leaves an ache in our hearts, but her spirit will continue to live on in the memories we share, the love she gave, and the family she nurtured.
Carmela’s memory will forever remain a blessing to those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.
