Barbara A. Zemaitis

Barbara A. Zemaitis, 80, of Waretown, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at home. Born in New Brunswick to her late parents, Anthony and Lola Zyskowski, she married her late husband Joseph on April 30, 1960 in Iselin, NJ. Barbara was a graduate of Middlesex County College and earned her degree as a Registered Nurse.  Formerly of South River, NJ her devotion to health care led to many facets of her career, such as working at Middlesex General Hospital, Bristol Myers Squibb, Clinical Project Director at Johnson & Johnson and the Diabetes Program Coordinator at Southern Ocean County Hospital after she relocated to Waretown.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Zemaitis; she is survived by her four loving children, Christine and her husband Scott Woody, Susan Zemaitis, Joseph and his wife Letty Zemaitis, Thomas Zemaitis; nine cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Jenn, April, Michael, Nicole, Joseph, Isabela, Landen, and Hunter and two precious great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Theodore. She will be deeply missed by all.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 11 AM to 1 PM with a Blessing Service to follow 1 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
