Born on July 8, 1940 in Torre Annunziata, Italy to his late parents, Mario Cavallaro and Rosa Iaccarina, he moved from Italy to New Jersey in 1972, with the help of his sisters, in search of a better life, which he found.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Annunziata; three loving children, Mario Cavallaro, Rosa Cavallaro and Carmella Simmons and husband, Larry; three cherished grandchildren, Anna Maria, Daniela and Carly; adored great-grandchildren, Apollonia and Reign; devoted sister, Michela Acanfora. He is also pre-deceased by his sisters, Anna Tirico and Luigia Lovalente.
His family was his greatest joy, and he was a constant source of wisdom, strength, and warmth to those around him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his deep pride in his Italian heritage and his passion for woodworking. He touched the lives of all he knew him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 2 to 4 pm at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Entombment to follow in White Cedars Memorial Park, Manahawkin.
