Anthony P. Dasaro

Anthony P. Dasaro, 92, of Barnegat passed Friday, July 16, 2021 at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin, NJ. He was born in New York City to his late parents, Anthony and Lena Dasaro.  A Disabled Veteran of WW II, he served  in the US Navy on the USS Midway and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 10185, Toms River, NJ and the American Legion Post 232, Barnegat, NJ. Anthony retired from the City of New York where he worked as an engineer.

An aficionado of automobiles, he enjoyed owning many cars throughout his life, most recently his Corvette. Anthony was also an accomplished cook and baker, something he enjoyed sharing with friends and family alike. He loved to meet with his friends at the card games in Heritage Point and provide a favorite dish.

Predeceased by a son, Dominick A. Dasaro, he is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Maria A. (LoBraico) Dasaro, his loving son, Anthony P. Dasaro; two cherished grandchildren, Mia and Michael Dasaro and Dominick’s wife Debra Dasaro.

The visitation will be Monday, July 19, 2021 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Mass will be offered Tuesday 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Barnegat. Private cremation to follow. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
