With deep love and faith, we announce that Anna Mae “Midge” Stellmach—devoted wife, cherished mother, beloved grandmother, and treasured friend to many—was called home to be with our Lord at the age of 86. She passed peacefully in the comfort of her Barnegat, NJ home, surrounded by the warmth and presence of her loving family and friends.
Anna Mae was born Anna Mae Walsh on September 18, 1938, in Ashland, PA, the youngest of six children. She grew up in Strong, PA with her parents Edward and Mary Walsh, and her siblings Catherine, Marie, Bernice, Edward, and James. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and now joins them in eternal rest.
On October 19, 1963, Anna Mae married the love of her life, Raymond Stellmach, in his hometown of Mount Carmel, PA. Their love and partnership would span over six decades. Shortly after their marriage, they settled in New Jersey where they started their family. Together, they raised two sons Mark and David.
Anna Mae lived a life marked by grace, joy, and selfless devotion. She lovingly balanced her career with her sacred calling as a mother, wife, and homemaker. Her home was a haven of warmth, music, laughter, and unconditional love—a place where both planned celebrations and spontaneous gatherings were welcomed with open arms.
Her love for dancing, beach days, music, and heartfelt conversations was only exceeded by her devotion to her family and her unwavering faith in God. She embraced life fully and freely, always putting others before herself with quiet strength and humble grace.
A woman of profound faith, Anna Mae was a living example of perseverance and gratitude. Forty years ago, she overcame cancer with quiet courage and determination, a testament to her strong will and the grace of God. Her life served as a blueprint for those who knew her—teaching her children and grandchildren not just how to live, but how to love, forgive, and endure with hope.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith in her devoted husband Raymond; her son Mark and his wife Cory, and their daughters Luna Mae and Sloane Isabelle; her son David and his wife Jackie, and their sons Raymond David and David Yin. She is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Anna Mae has been welcomed into the eternal embrace of her Savior. Her spirit will live on in the lives she touched, the love she gave, and the faith she carried. We give thanks for the gift of her life, and we find peace in the promise that we will see her again.
“Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord.” – Matthew 25:21
