Anita P. Doherty

Anita P. Doherty, 61, of Barnegat passed on Friday August 17, 2018. Born in Englewood, NJ to her late parents, Joseph and Agatha Szucs, she worked in the health care field. She had a love for travel and nature, and was especially devoted to the preservation of sea turtles. Her greatest love however, was being a devoted wife and mother to her beloved husband of 39 years, Garrett C. Doherty; her two loving children, Joseph and Kaitlyn Doherty. She is also survived by two devoted sisters, Lisa Szucs and Elena Heller. She was predeceased by a sister, Vera Myers.

Viewing Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a Blessing Service 7:45 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Private cremation to follow.
