Albert G. Koelsch

Albert G. Koelsch, 78, of Barnegat, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. Born in Kearny, NJ to his late parents, Clifford and Agnes (nee Rogers) Koelsch. Albert raised his family in Cedar Knolls, NJ before moving to Barnegat 17 years ago.

Albert served 4 years in the US Air Force and earned his Masters Degree in Public Safety Administration from William Paterson College. He joined the Belleville Police Department in 1965 and served 25 years before retiring as Captain.

Albert loved to travel, visited many baseball stadiums, loved to fish and was an avid NY Mets and NY Giants fan.

Predeceased by his son, Erik Koelsch he is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Barbara (nee Harden) Koelsch; 2 loving children, Steven Koelsch and his wife Rebecca of Chester, NJ and Colleen Koelsch of Mine Hill, NJ; his sister, Dorothy Niklos of PA; his aunt, Olga Rogers of FL as well as nephews and a niece.
