Albert S. Frahlich Obituary

Albert S. Frahlich Obituary

Albert “Scott” Frahlich passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 12th after a brief Illness. Scott, or Scotty, as he was fondly known by some family members and friends from his home state of Kentucky, had just turned 90 years old in December, and he was beloved by all who knew him.

Scott was born in Morganfield, Kentucky, to Vaughn and Mary Frahlich. He married his wife of 62 years, Alice Jean Hammack in 1952, who preceded him in death in 2014. Scott and Jean had three children: Scott Frahlich Jr. of Cherry Hill NJ, Joe Frahlich (Jurgita) of Denville, NJ, and Beth Hagen of Frisco, Texas. Dad would never hesitate to credit his older sister, Jane Schwartz, and her husband, Fritz Schwartz, for giving him and his bride their start in Kokomo, Indiana, where Dad began his career with the JCPenney Company selling men’s work clothing. Scott continued to work for JCPenney for 35 years and retired as a Vice President in 1987. His passions included his family and University of Kentucky Basketball, and he was more than an avid fan of both.

In addition to his children, Scott is survived by his loving grandchildren including Ms. Maggie Gray (Matthew) of Wasilla, Alaska, Ms. Tyler (Michael) Sonia of Lynn, Massachusetts, Ms. Kelsey Frahlich of Plymouth Massachusetts, Mr. Cole Hagen of Irving, Texas, Ms. Claudia Frahlich of Denville, New Jersey, and Mr. Hendrich Frahlich of Denville, NJ. Scott is also survived by his great-granddaughter, Murphy Gray, of Wasilla, Alaska.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that those who wish to mark his memory do so with a donation to a charity of their choice. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
