Alan Joseph Becker, age 86 of Waretown, NJ passed away on Christmas Eve surrounded by his immediate family.
Mr. Becker was the oldest of five boys, and is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Helen Becker, his son, Jeffrey, stepdaughter Kerri Dino and his brother Gary. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Bernice Lynn Becker and two children Alan, Jr. and his wife Fran, Sandra Meyer and her husband John, he is also survived by a step-son Joseph Dino and his wife Marilyn, his brother Anthony and his wife Arlene, his brother Bruce and his wife Linda, his brother Dennis and also his beloved sister-in-law Jean Becker. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren.
He received his master mason degree at Clifton Lodge 203 F & AM. He will be remembered as member of the Republican Party. He enjoyed most outdoor sports and was a Life Member of the NRA. He was very proud of his Austrian heritage. He received his B.S. from Rutgers University and his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He spent his entire career in the chemical industry predominately within the paint and coating trade. He retired from shell oil company. Alan and his wife Bernice retired to Greenbriar Oceanaire in 2015 from Yardley, PA.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2024 from 2 to 5 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Mass offered Tuesday, 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Private Cremation to follow. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
