Robert Cosmos Obituary

Robert S. Cosmos, 73, of Barnegat passed on October 24, 2018. Born in New York City, he formerly resided in Rutherford, NJ for many years before retiring to Barnegat to be near the beach. Bobby possessed great athletic ability and was scouted by the NY Yankees while at Don Bosco Prep. An injury ended his sports career, but that enabled him to move to be with family in California to finish high school, and then went on to graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Following graduation, he worked for most of his career in sales at Superior Ink in NYC.

He  was an avid sports fan, especially of both the NY Yankees and Giants. He also loved his two Corvettes that he owned in the 1960’s. Bobby’s greatest attribute was his friendliness and easy going nature evident by the large circle of friends he had. He had a positive fun loving attitude and enjoyed playing cards, reading, vacations, cruises and trips to Atlantic City, but most of all, loved his wife Marilyn.

He was predeceased by the love of his life, Marilyn (Miller) Cosmos. Surviving are his loving sister, Mildred Cook; brother-in-law, Robert Miller and wife Janare; nieces and nephews, Tracy Parsons, Thomas, David and Jonathan Cook; Brenton and Tassin Miller; great nieces and nephews, Scott and Daniel Parsons, Katie and Jack Cook, Emily Cook and Nathan Ross.
